Nursing development

The professionals of our staff unit Nursing Development work to guarantee quality management and improvement according to thecurrent state-of-science at Rudolfinerhaus. They accompany the scientific level of nursing and maintain it’s priorities depending on current social responsabilities. The nurse-to-patient ratio which ereflects the number of patients per nurse on each day, follows the international best practice benchmarks.

Evidence-based Nursing & Science

At Rudolfinerhaus, we understand evicence-based nursing (EBN) as a guideline for research and practice which tries to develop concrete solutions for practical use and employs various sources of knowledge: scientific research, clinical expertise, patients’ preferences and local data.

It is our goal to provide patients with high-quality and effective nursing, which is based on scientific evidence.

Partership with Vienna University’s Institute for Nursing Science.

Partnerships between academic and practice institutions are a strategic instrument to link research, training and practice. In 2015, the partnership between Rudolfinerhaus Foundation (Private Hospital & Campus) and teh University of Vienna (Institute for Nursing Science) was established. It is a platform for developing joint projects and activities which enable patients and their relatives to cope with their disease and to promote their health.

As our first project, the Patient Information and Consulting Centre (PIZ in German) was created. Based on a methodology of developing and testing komplex nurcing interventions, measures to educate the patients are developed, structured and evaluated. Another projects we realized is self management of medication in x your day-to-day life – creation of a information brochure about self management of medication for patients.

Campus Rudolfinerhaus

Nursing education on a high level of quality and to be a model for further development of the nursing profession is our claim since our foundation. On our on-site Campus Rudolfinerhaus, students graduate with the degree Bachelor of Science in Health Studies besides their professional authorisation.
